What this site collects, why, who can see it, and your rights. Last updated: November 6, 2026.
This site, the CEATSG Gazette, is run by the College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology Student Government of De La Salle University – Dasmariñas (“we”, “us”). We decide what personal data is collected here and why. The site is built and hosted for us by our developers, Karl Andrew Gojar and Caryl Joy Cabrera, who handle the data only on our instructions.
Questions or requests about your data: Chief of Staff, multimedia.arts@dlsud.edu.ph.
We collect: Name, email, program, password or passkey (we keep only the passkey's public key, never your fingerprint or face), and sign-in records.
Why: To give you access to account features and keep your account secure.
We collect: The answers and files you submit. Some forms, such as wellness checks and financial aid, may ask for sensitive information; each form says why it asks.
Why: To do what the form is for.
We collect: Your answers and files are deleted. Your account keeps only the application's title, its result and its date, so you can still see what you applied for; what you typed stays deleted.
Why: To keep your own record of what you applied for.
We collect: Your concern and an email address we check. Officers never see the email on an anonymous concern; it is used only for codes, your tracking code and reply notices, and is never shared or added to a mailing list.
Why: To stop abuse and to let you follow your concern.
We collect: Your registration details, check-in record and any evaluation you submit.
Why: To run the event and report on it.
We collect: Your order, contact details, payment method and details you give to confirm payment, and pickup record.
Why: To fill your order and keep records of it.
We collect: Your comment or reaction and your name.
Why: To show them on the post.
We collect: On-site notifications about your applications, orders, chat replies and the events you registered for. We keep each one for 90 days.
Why: To tell you when something you did on the site changes.
We collect: Your messages and the name you give.
Why: To answer your question.
We collect: Your role and office, a log of what you do in the console, and the device, IP address and approximate location of each action. The device, IP address and location details are cleared after 180 days; the log entry stays.
Why: To control who can edit what, keep a record of changes, and protect accounts.
We collect: The text of the page you are reading is sent to Google Translate.
Why: To show the page in your language.
We collect: Technical logs such as IP address and browser, error reports, essential cookies for signing in, and your language and display choices saved in your own browser.
Why: To keep the site working and secure, fix errors, block spam, and remember your choices.
We collect only what we need for these purposes. We rely on your consent, on our legitimate interest in running a safe and open public record, and on our duties to the student body. For sensitive information, we rely on your consent or another basis the law allows.
Official documents we publish are public records and may show officers' names and signatures, and event reports may show names of participants.
We never sell your data, and we don't add you to a mailing list unless you ask to join one.
Your data is stored with cloud providers that may keep it outside the Philippines, for example in Singapore or the United States, under security commitments that protect it.
We keep data only as long as we need it for its purpose or as the law requires. Officers can set a form to delete its answers automatically, and you can ask us to delete your data at any time. If CEATSG stops using the service, remaining data is deleted within 60 days after the service ends, and from backups as those backups expire, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, you can ask to be informed about how we use your data, to access it, to correct it, to object to its use, to have it erased or blocked, and to receive a copy in a common format. You can also ask for damages, and file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
To use any of these rights, contact multimedia.arts@dlsud.edu.ph. We will reply within 15 days.
If we change this notice, we will post the new version here with a new date.
